Musical is, by nature, an optimist. However, her golden age has long since passed.

Where once life was dealt with by a series of musical dange numbers by Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly (or the occasional James Cagney), now things are decided through rap battles, night club dance-offs, or pop soundtracks.

Regardless of that harsh fact, Musical presses on. Waiting for the day when audiences will know of a musical not adaptated from a popular Broadway play or a bizarre monstrosity engineered by Baz Luhrmann.

She's got a smile on her face, as she walks down the lane, with a happy refrain...
